What you will do

• Manage and mentor engineering leads for the Merchants Core and Growth teams.
• Own architectural decisions for billing, invoicing, checkout, and delivery promise engines.
• Drive hiring, goal setting, and performance management for your engineering teams.
• Partner with product and design leadership to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps.
• Ensure system reliability and maintain high standards for code quality and RFC processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data and Customer Success to optimize merchant operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, with 2+ years in a management role.
• Proven experience managing multiple teams or a team of teams.
• Architect-level technical depth in billing systems, API design, and product infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS, and payment infrastructure like Stripe.
• Ability to thrive in a high-growth startup environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
