Director, Engineering Operations (Fintech)

hirify.global is a hyper-growth Series C fintech building an AI-powered financial companion and real-time infrastructure for Latinos in the US, including remittances, credit, savings, and wallet services.

What you will do

• Lead and scale multidisciplinary teams across DevOps, platform engineering, quality engineering, infrastructure, and security operations.
• Own the developer platform, self-service tooling, cloud architecture, and infrastructure cost management.
• Architect and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable continuous deployment.
• Embed vulnerability scanning, container security, code analysis, and compliance practices into the development lifecycle.
• Oversee observability, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, incident response, post-mortems, and system hardening.
• Modernize automation-first testing and use DORA and SPACE metrics to improve developer workflows and system stability.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure, or platform operations, including 5+ years in senior engineering management at Director level or above.
• Deep hands-on experience with cloud architecture, including GCP required, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience overseeing CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, and ArgoCD; observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, and OpenTelemetry; and security tools such as Snyk, SonarQube, Wiz, Palo Alto Networks, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Strong knowledge of zero-trust architecture, IAM, and SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and PCI compliance frameworks.
• Proven data-driven leadership using DORA metrics and operational data, with exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
• US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

• Experience leading platform engineering transitions or enterprise-scale cloud migrations.
• Active involvement in open source or the CNCF ecosystem.
• Experience managing globally distributed, remote-first engineering teams.
