What you will do

• Underwrite complex individual life insurance cases with face amounts typically exceeding $5M.
• Analyze medical, financial, and non-medical data to make sound underwriting decisions.
• Provide second signature support and technical guidance to junior underwriters.
• Partner with internal sales and distribution teams to achieve business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and BGA partners.
• Contribute to team development through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum of 10 years of life insurance underwriting experience.
• Proven ability to underwrite large, complex cases including impaired risks.
• Experience working within the independent agent/brokerage (BGA) distribution channel.
• Demonstrated decision-making authority on high face amounts.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
