What you will do

• Align Group Underwriting processes and tools, including Online GUM and renewal templates, and execute the Best Practice roadmap.
• Lead and implement best practice initiatives to improve efficiency within the Underwriting team.
• Design and facilitate a training curriculum to support underwriters from entry level to experienced roles.
• Conduct quality reviews of complex underwriting cases and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for underwriting tools.
• Act as a liaison with internal partners in Finance, IT, and EIS to lead or contribute to mini-projects.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada (specifically Montreal, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, or Ontario).
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive Group Underwriting experience, including exposure to various funding arrangements.
• Strong understanding of customer needs, underwriting processes, and related business areas.
• Ability to identify root causes of issues and provide sound, practical recommendations.
