Applications & Proposals Engineer

Location: Lexington, Kentucky, USA — onsite position

What you will do

• Respond to original equipment quote requests with proposals containing drawings, specifications, and pricing.
• Review existing equipment designs and determine when engineered-to-order solutions are required.
• Prepare CAD drawings, equipment bills of materials, performance calculations, and cost analyses.
• Answer questions from Sales, customers, and Production Engineering to support OE order execution.
• Support engineering communication, global design and safety standards, engineering best practices, and process improvements.
• Participate in change management and take ownership of ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mining, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• Four years of experience in engineering design, machine application, or the mining industry is desired.
• Experience using computer-aided design tools is desired.
• Experience with cross-functional assignments, Lean Engineering, Change Management, or project management is valued.
• PE licensure is not required; eligibility and interest in pursuing a PE license are advantageous.
• Professional registration, technical society membership, or committee participation is beneficial.
