Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote)

Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 USD

What you will do

• Set technical direction and architectural standards across multiple feature teams.
• Build and ship production-grade features using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Integrate AI agents into the development lifecycle and product features.
• Solve ambiguous, high-impact problems related to search relevance, performance, and data modeling.
• Mentor and sponsor engineers to raise the overall technical bar of the organization.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data leadership to deliver shipped outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Deep experience with modern cloud stacks (Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, PostgreSQL, React, Next.js).
• Proven track record of Staff-level scope, judgment, and handling ambiguity.
• Hands-on experience building and operating business-critical, production-grade systems.
• Strong fundamentals in data modeling and schema design.
• Experience using AI coding agents as a core part of the development workflow.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM-based tooling for content enrichment and classification.
• Background in event-driven and microservice architectures.
• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy systems.
• Performance tuning and cost optimization in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with highly available, consumer-facing SaaS or marketplace applications.
