What you will do

• Translate complex life sciences research into briefings, white papers, and executive reports for government clients.
• Partner with the Grants Manager to develop technical narratives and scientific components for competitive funding submissions.
• Build and maintain a version-controlled repository of reusable technical content and regulatory documentation.
• Implement AI-augmented workflows using LLMs to accelerate drafting, editing, and summarization tasks.
• Develop program documentation including SOPs, study protocols, and data management plans.
• Create visual communication materials such as diagrams and flowcharts to make research outcomes legible to non-specialists.

Requirements

• PhD in a life sciences discipline (molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, etc.).
• Demonstrated track record of grant writing success with awarded proposals.
• Experience translating complex scientific content for non-technical government or policy audiences.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools and LLMs in professional workflows.
• Eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel deliverables.

Nice to have

• Prior experience writing for major funders like NIH, ARPA-H, BARDA, or UKRI.
• Active US security clearance.
• Experience securing independent research funding (F31, F32, K-series, etc.).
• Ability to create professional figures and schematics for broad audiences.
