What you will do

• Contribute to large projects that evolve hirify.globalsearch core infrastructure.
• Design and implement horizontally-scalable features and APIs.
• Improve developer productivity via automation and integrating agentic apps into development workflows.
• Solve difficult issues, including performance and concurrency problems, and propose solutions.
• Improve operations and observability of hirify.globalsearch cloud systems.
• Own operational investigations end-to-end until performance or stability issues are resolved.

Requirements

• Experience crafting APIs and reasoning through tradeoffs.
• Strong core Java skills, including the standard library data structures and concurrency constructs, plus newer language features.
• Hands-on low-level Java experience (e.g., concurrency, parallelism, classloaders).
• Hands-on CI/CD experience with systems and practices (e.g., Buildkite, Argo CD, GitOps).
• Proven ability to lead large-scale projects across engineering teams and own work end-to-end (technical design and collaboration).
• Knowledge of JDK internals (modules, Java memory model, garbage collection, caching, etc.).

Nice to have

• Observability and telemetry experience, especially OpenTelemetry.
• Knowledge of Go.
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes.
• Java build tools experience (Gradle preferred).
• Experience working in a platform team or developer productivity team.
