Senior Data Architect (AI)

Location: Toronto, Canada, with a hybrid schedule; the office will move from 483 Bay Street to 3 Robert Speck Parkway in Mississauga in late 2026.

Salary: CAD 140,000–170,000 annually, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Align data architecture and technology solutions with the enterprise and Canada data strategies.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications covering data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
• Define data architecture standards, principles, reference architectures, metadata, security, reference data, and master data models.
• Design data flows, conceptual and logical data models, flowcharts, and solutions for storing and retrieving enterprise information.
• Collaborate with departments, stakeholders, international partners, and external vendors.
• Support initiatives focused on data quality, governance, and timely data delivery.

Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with at least 7 years of Data Architect experience.
• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.
• Experience with RAG architectures, LLM fine-tuning, GenAI integration, AI architecture, MLOps, or machine learning CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with data modeling, database development, data governance, analytics, AI/ML, and data management.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies, preferably AWS; data warehousing, preferably Snowflake; and Boomi iPaaS.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle, AWS Aurora, MySQL, PostgreSQL, ProgressDB, BI tools, master data management platforms, and enterprise architecture management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ataccama, IBM, Informatica, LeanIX, Tableau, SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, Apache Sqoop, KNIME, RapidMiner, Elasticsearch, Pig, Hive, or Kafka.
