What you will do

• Operate multi-tier storage infrastructure (primary, nearline, archive) and manage end-to-end LTO tape library operations.
• Administer SAN/NAS shared editorial storage platforms, including capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Provide remote and hands-on support for the data center, including racking, cabling, and server administration (Linux/Windows).
• Support high-bandwidth production networks, managing VLANs, routing, switching, and firewall policies.
• Manage hybrid on-prem/cloud storage integration using AWS or equivalent services.
• Automate repetitive infrastructure and media-movement tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems engineering experience in media & entertainment (studios, networks, or post-production).
• Deep experience with LTO tape libraries and archival software (e.g., Quantum, Spectra Logic, Archiware).
• Strong expertise in SAN/NAS administration at scale (e.g., Avid NEXIS, PowerScale, Qumulo).
• Solid networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, and high-throughput (10/25/100GbE) environments.
• Proficiency in Linux/Windows server administration and virtualization (VMware, Proxmox).
• Must live in or relocate to the Raleigh, NC area.

Nice to have

• Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Network+/Storage+, AWS, or Avid ACSR.
• Experience with MAM/DAM platforms (Iconik, CatDV) and file-acceleration tools (Signiant, Aspera).
• Familiarity with editorial codecs and pipelines (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
• Experience with Docker, API integrations, and advanced infrastructure automation.
