What you will do

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, BOMs, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Assemble and install mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, gas handling racks, manifolds, panels, brackets, tubing systems, vacuum components, and related hardware.
• Cut, bend, route, and install stainless steel tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, gauges, sensors, pumps, and related instrumentation.
• Perform drilling, tapping, deburring, fitting, alignment, minor mechanical modifications, pressure and vacuum testing, and helium leak checking.
• Support basic electrical assembly tasks such as cable routing, connector installation, labeling, and simple test setup as required.
• Complete production logs, work orders, inspection records, and assembly documentation; communicate build status and improvement ideas.

Requirements

• Post-secondary technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Experience with tubing, fittings, manifolds, gas, vacuum, or pressure systems, instrumentation, or mechanical rack assembly.
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring tools, and basic shop equipment.
• Able to read and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and written work instructions, including multi-level BOMs.
• Able to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and work standing/sitting/bending for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Swagelok or similar compression fitting experience.
• High-vacuum leak checking, pressure testing, or cryogenic assembly experience.
• Pump maintenance or machine shop experience.
• Shipping and receiving experience.
• Experience in a startup, R&D, or low-volume, high-complexity production environment.
