What you will do

• Own high-impact projects end-to-end, specifically focusing on accounting integrations with platforms like NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Xero.
• Build reliable and scalable backend services to power core financial workflows and expand into adjacent product areas.
• Translate ambiguous product and business problems into simple, durable technical solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Operations, Compliance, and external financial data partners like Plaid and Finicity.
• Manage technical tradeoffs to ship quickly while maintaining strict reliability for money movement.
• Mentor team members and raise the engineering bar through strong system design and code quality.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building production backend systems, APIs, or distributed systems.
• Strong product judgment and comfort navigating ambiguity.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working cross-functionally with non-technical teams.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Belgrade office (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Experience with fintech, accounting systems, payroll, payments, or banking.
• Experience with Python, Go, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP.
