Manager I, Engineering - Observability Pipelines (Rust)

What you will do

• Own people management and engineering execution for a core Observability Pipelines mission.
• Establish the team's operating rhythm from planning through execution and stakeholder communication.
• Drive high standards for on-call rotations and incident response.
• Partner with Product to shape the roadmap and balance product priorities with technical realities.
• Lead, coach, and support the career growth of engineers.

Requirements

• Direct experience managing engineers and owning a team's operating rhythm end to end.
• Technical background in distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• Experience with on-premises or customer-installed software.
• Product-minded approach and experience partnering with Product on strategy.
• Experience with high-performance or Rust-based data pipeline systems.
