Business Analyst, Investment Compliance

Location: New York, New York; hybrid workplace with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office

Salary: $75,000–$105,000 per year, plus incentive pay

What you will do

• Support change initiatives across the Investment Compliance function in collaboration with compliance, data, technology, and operations teams.
• Analyze business problems, datasets, process flows, trades, holdings, restrictions, and breaches to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Gather, document, validate, and trace business requirements through delivery and testing.
• Prepare test cases, support UAT, validate outputs, and track issues through resolution.
• Improve compliance workflows, dashboards, reporting, knowledge management, and operational tools.
• Use Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, and AI-enabled tools to generate insights, improve efficiency, and support responsible automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Ability to analyze problems, structure thinking, and contribute to practical solutions through academic, internship, apprenticeship, part-time, or early-career experience.
• Familiarity with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar tools, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Experience contributing to projects, structured deliverables, or team-based outcomes.
• Exposure to testing activities, output validation, or structured testing approaches.
• Curiosity, a growth mindset, and evidence of self-directed learning.

• Exposure to financial services, asset management, investment compliance, or order management systems.
