Business Analyst (Investment Compliance)

TL;DR

Business Analyst (Investment Compliance): Supporting delivery of change initiatives across the Investment Compliance function with an accent on data analysis, process improvement, and regulatory control implementation. Focus on breaking down business problems into structured components, automating reporting, and ensuring scalable IC operations.

Location: New York, New York (Hybrid - must spend at least four full days each week in the office)

Salary: $75,000 - $105,000 per year

What you will do

• Partner with global teams across Investment Compliance, data, technology, and operations to deliver change initiatives.
• Analyze data and process flows to identify risks, perform root cause analysis, and document improvement opportunities.
• Generate insights from operational datasets (trades, holdings, breaches) using Excel, SQL, Power BI, and AI tools.
• Gather, document, and validate business requirements while ensuring full traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support UAT activities, including test case preparation, validation, and issue tracking.
• Drive process enhancements and leverage AI responsibly to automate documentation and repetitive analytical tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• Proven ability to analyze complex problems and contribute to structured, practical solutions.
• Familiarity with analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, Excel, or Python.
• Experience contributing to structured project deliverables and team-based outcomes.
• Understanding of structured testing approaches and experience with output validation.
• Must be based in New York and comply with the workplace model of at least four days per week in-office.

Nice to have

• Exposure to financial services, asset management, or investment compliance.
• Experience working with order management systems (OMS).
