Location: Hybrid in Toronto, Ontario. Relocation packages available for approved roles.
Salary: $150,662 - $175,662 CAD

What you will do
- Own the architecture and technical direction of major spacecraft mechanical subsystems across multiple programs.
- Lead the development of the organization's most technically challenging spacecraft subsystems and hardware integrations.
- Perform and guide structural and thermal analyses supporting subsystem development and qualification.
- Partner cross-functionally with systems, RF, electrical, software, and mission operations teams to develop integrated solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices, reusable design approaches, and mechanical development methodologies.
- Mentor mechanical engineers to develop technical depth and subsystem ownership throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of experience developing complex mechanical systems from concept through qualification.
- Demonstrated experience leading the technical development of major spacecraft or aerospace hardware subsystems.
- Proficiency with CAD platforms such as Onshape, Creo, SolidWorks, or NX.
- Deep understanding of structural mechanics, heat transfer, dynamics, and hardware verification.
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing, assembly, integration, and production.
Nice to have
- Experience with Simcenter 3D, Simcenter/NX NASTRAN, or Simcenter Space Systems Thermal.
- Familiarity with ESA ECSS, NASA, or equivalent aerospace structural and thermal standards.
- Eligibility for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensure in a Canadian jurisdiction.
