What you will do

• Own the overall content strategy and roadmap to ensure the portfolio compounds value over time.
• Build and launch a collection of data-driven research reports and benchmark studies from concept to methodology.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to extract technical narratives and claims from complex datasets.
• Manage the content calendar, producing citations and short-form pieces optimized for both humans and AI engines.
• Write high-authority editorial pieces, including field guides and frameworks tailored for VPs of Engineering and CTOs.
• Define success metrics for content and link them directly to pipeline and revenue growth.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in technical content, editorial, or research roles for a technical audience.
• Proven track record of shipping published research reports or benchmark studies.
• Experience in early-stage startups, demonstrating self-sufficiency and the ability to ship without a large team.
• Fluency with data and the ability to interrogate datasets to find meaningful, non-misleading insights.
• Strong, fast writing skills in an engineer's register (writing samples required).
• Ability to connect content programs to revenue and define clear success scorecards.

Nice to have

• Background in software engineering, data analysis, or data journalism.
• Video skills, including scripting and producing short-form content for technical audiences.
• Familiarity with engineering leadership metrics like DORA and developer productivity.
• Experience utilizing AI in research and writing workflows.
