Python Engineer — Asset Pricing & Hedging

Responsibilities:
- Build high-performance, scalable backend systems in Python powering Bitpanda’s core trading infrastructure
- Design and maintain clean, testable, and maintainable code across a microservice ecosystem
- Evolve and scale an event-driven architecture for future growth
- Tackle cross-domain challenges in pricing, hedging, and asset/portfolio management across crypto, stocks and metals
- Deliver code that supports critical business functions across the company
Requirements:
- 2+ years hands-on Python development experience in product-driven environments
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and websockets; ability to design fast, reliable APIs using FastAPI
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and message brokers like Kafka or ZeroMQ
Nice to have:
- Experience with AWS
- Interest or experience in crypto, blockchain or stock markets
