Location: Must be based in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, or Slovenia. Note: First day in London office required to collect equipment.

What you will do

• Design and implement security-focused platform capabilities for a cloud-native payments system.
• Apply expertise in API security, cryptographic controls, and AI governance to production-ready solutions.
• Develop scalable, maintainable capabilities embedded into the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers, platform specialists, and security experts to enhance system resilience.
• Own projects end-to-end, from design through to production deployment and support.

Requirements

• Must be based in one of the specified EU countries: Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Romania, Slovakia, or Slovenia.
• Must be able to travel to London for the first day to collect equipment.
• Deep understanding of designing and building distributed systems.
• Professional experience with Go and containerized microservices.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and experience with collaborative engineering practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
• Knowledge of CockroachDB, NATS JetStream, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with TDD/BDD and pair programming methodologies.
