What you will do

• Train and evaluate machine learning models using real clinical hospital data.
• Design and run retrospective and impact analyses to improve the clinical value of products.
• Collaborate with clinicians to understand workflows and translate them into modeling choices.
• Integrate model results into product sprint planning and implementation.
• Contribute to the Capacity Monitor (ICU, Emergency, and Cardiac units) or the Aftercare Monitor.

Requirements

• Internship must be part of a Master's studies or PhD trajectory.
• Start date between September and December 2026.
• Availability for at least 6 months full-time (or equivalent part-time >50%).
• Familiarity with core data science principles and experience with Python.
• Essential affinity with Dutch hospital care.

Nice to have

• Hands-on clinical experience.
• Fluency in Dutch.
• Advanced experience in data science.
