Sr. Environmental Specialist (EHS)

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead environmental program compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and internal hirify.global requirements.
• Drive EHS performance improvements and implement the ISO 14001 standard and Wise/WiseR safety programs.
• Serve as the plant lead for the Zero Waste to Landfill Program and other sustainability initiatives.
• Manage data collection and analysis for environmental metrics including air, waste, energy, and water.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and handle environmental reporting and permitting.
• Support emergency response, evacuation planning, and root cause investigation of EHS incidents.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Mt. Crawford, Virginia.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, Environmental Health, Chemistry, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Alternatively, 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment with a high school diploma or GED.
• Deep knowledge of multi-media environmental regulations (RCRA, CAA, CWA, NPDES, SPCC, and RM).
• Strong leadership and communication skills to mentor teams and drive cultural change.
• Ability to handle physical demands of a manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
