Consultant (Manufacturing Operations): Partner with client leadership to assess and improve manufacturing and distribution operations with an accent on operational performance, supply chain optimization, and financial outcomes. Location: Hybrid in multiple US cities including Detroit, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, New York, South Florida, and Washington, D.C., with remote work allowed within the United States.
Salary: $145,000–$175,000

What you will do
- Assess manufacturing and distribution operations including organizational design, production capacity, planning, quality, warehousing, and workforce capability.
- Conduct Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) assessments to identify gaps and misalignments.
- Analyze operational data to evaluate productivity, capacity utilization, and equipment performance.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops and drive integrated planning discussions balancing demand, supply, and financial targets.
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies and performance metrics impacting working capital and cash flow.
- Support execution of transformation initiatives and manage client relationships to deliver measurable improvements.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in the United States with hybrid work in specified cities.
- 7+ years of combined industry and consulting experience, including 4+ years in manufacturing or distribution operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field; MBA or APICS/ASCM certification preferred.
- Experience with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies, and advisory experience with top-tier or Big Four consulting firms preferred.
- Deep expertise in supply chain operations, manufacturing operations, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, TOC, and value engineering.
- Ability and willingness to travel based on client needs.
