What you will do

• Define and perform research in network security inspired by biological immune systems to deliver high impact across multiple domains.
• Apply emerging AI and programmable network capabilities to build adaptive network embedded security.
• Create intellectual property through patent filings and authoring technical thought leadership papers.
• Collaborate with business units to ensure research outputs are downstreamed for commercial realization.
• Supervise professionals, graduates, and post-graduate students within the research team.
• Maintain deep domain expertise in cybersecurity, specifically in attacker and malware behaviour modelling.

Requirements

• Research experience in cybersecurity and attacker malware behaviour modelling.
• Demonstrated practical experience applying AI/ML to address real-world problems.
• Must be based in the UK and able to work from Bristol, Ipswich, or London offices 3 days per week.
• Experience working with line of business partners and vendor solutions teams.
• Strong academic record, preferably with a PhD or equivalent research experience.

• Deep expertise in software development and project management.
