What you will do

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including detailed scope, schedules, resource allocations, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical teams and business units to ensure alignment and timely execution of activities.
• Monitor vendor performance, deliverable quality, and contractual adherence for external contractors.
• Manage project scope changes through formal change control processes and ensure compliance with organizational governance.
• Facilitate executive-level status reporting and robust stakeholder engagement to ensure operational transparency.
• Ensure strict adherence to state procurement requirements and enterprise contract frameworks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, complex IT or business transformation projects in structured environments.
• 8+ years of comprehensive knowledge in project management methodologies such as PMI/PMBOK, Agile, and Hybrid frameworks.
• 8+ years of experience with enterprise project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
• Proven track record in risk management, issue tracking, and formal change control processes.
• Strong experience aligning multiple stakeholders across technical and business units.
• Must be located in Austin, TX.

Nice to have

• Experience working in public sector or state government, particularly within public safety or law enforcement.
• Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience managing IT system implementations or enterprise software applications.
