What you will do

• Develop automated laboratory solutions by programming liquid handling robotics platforms to meet assay workflow requirements.
• Iteratively improve automated liquid handler methods based on experimental data and user feedback.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for automation equipment.
• Design and implement automated methods for use in high-throughput environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, and Technology) to build integrated automation platforms.
• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

Requirements

• B.S. in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience with automated liquid handlers in a regulated environment (CLIA, CAP, ISO, etc.).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with scientists.
• Familiarity with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and/or common molecular biology laboratory workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Diego, CA.

Nice to have

• M.S. degree in Life Sciences or Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with automated liquid handlers in regulated environments.
• Experience working specifically with Hamilton liquid handlers.
