Senior Manager, Accounting Advisory - Construction Clients (Construction Accounting)

Location: Remote anywhere in the US; up to 10% travel required.

Salary: $142,000–$195,000 base pay annually, plus potential annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead CFO-level accounting advisory engagements for construction clients.
• Build trusted relationships with business owners, project leaders, and executive teams.
• Analyze KPIs and financial performance, providing recommendations to improve profitability, cash flow, and liquidity.
• Develop client budgets and forecasts and support financial planning and strategy.
• Oversee multiple client teams and collaborate with revenue cycle, payroll, and cost reporting functions.
• Drive technology-enabled change, process improvement, and best-practice adoption while mentoring staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant public accounting or industry accounting experience, preferably supporting construction clients at the CFO level.
• Experience with construction accounting, including job costing, WIP reporting, and project-based financial management.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash flow forecasting, project profitability, and liquidity analysis.
• Experience leading teams through organizational change and process improvement, including remote teams across geographies.
• Strong project management, stakeholder communication, relationship-building, and complex financial analysis skills.

Nice to have

• CPA designation.
• Master’s degree.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Procore, Sage Intacct Construction, or Foundation.
• Experience working with banking, surety, audit, and insurance stakeholders.
