Senior Project Accountant (Financial Services)

Location: Saint Paul, MN Campus; hybrid work with three days per week in the office for associates within a 90-minute commute

Salary: $73,700–$136,800 estimated annual base pay

What you will do

• Participate in large-scale companywide financial projects and initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate mergers and acquisitions integration workstreams across multiple functional teams.
• Align acquired entities with close calendars, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of GAAP, STAT, and potentially IFRS accounting policies and reporting requirements.
• Support finance system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing financial reporting activities.
• Communicate project updates, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant experience in accounting or financial reporting with strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Experience leading or coordinating complex projects and workstreams.
• Understanding of state, SEC, NAIC, FINRA, industry, and rating agency reporting requirements.
• General understanding of STAT and IFRS accounting principles for regulated entities.
• Working knowledge of federal income tax considerations related to financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, planning, and communication skills.

• Experience in insurance or actuarial environments.
