What you will do

• Model and texture realistic sci-fi characters from concept through to final in-engine asset.
• Create clean topology optimized for rigging complex joints and moving parts.
• Set up and groom character hair specifically within Unreal Engine 5.
• Collaborate with animation and tech animation teams to ensure realistic character movement.
• Translate character ideations from concept artists into production-feasible 3D assets.
• Mentor junior and intermediate artists and help shape the character art pipeline and standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of character art experience in the video game industry.
• Portfolio demonstrating realistic characters with seamless hard surface integration.
• Proven experience with hair setup and grooming in Unreal Engine 5.
• Expert proficiency in Blender or Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Experience collaborating with tech animation on rigging-friendly construction.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Montreal, QC.

Nice to have

• Experience with MetaHuman.
• Background in weapon modeling or FPS production.
