What you will do

• Lead the full life cycle of corporate insurance placements including strategy development and premium negotiation.
• Develop and validate sophisticated risk models to drive data-backed decisions on risk retention and transfer.
• Conduct enterprise-wide operational audits and financial projections to recommend risk control solutions.
• Direct the investigation and management of high-exposure insurance claims as the primary company advocate.
• Develop and maintain the corporate Risk Management Manual to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Pioneer the use of AI-driven tools and agentic workflows to automate risk reporting and predictive cost modeling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate risk management, insurance brokerage, or underwriting.
• Advanced mastery of insurance principles, complex policy language, and alternative risk financing structures.
• Expert proficiency in Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) and advanced data visualization tools.
• Strong track record of negotiating with major global insurers and communicating with executive stakeholders.
• Must be able to work in the San Francisco office at least 3 days per week.

• Knowledge of Python, SQL, or AI-powered analytical platforms.
• Professional designations such as CRM, ARM, or CPCU.
• Prior experience in the Autonomous Vehicle (AV), technology, or logistics/trucking sectors.
