Senior Product Manager (Risk)

What you will do

• Define and execute the product roadmap for risk infrastructure, including decisioning, rules management, and real-time controls.
• Partner with Data Science to translate AI/ML model outputs into operational product decisions, threshold designs, and monitoring frameworks.
• Maintain deep technical fluency in system architecture and data flows to unblock engineering and write precise requirements.
• Optimize guarantee economics by managing the tradeoff between approval rates and loss exposure across merchant portfolios.
• Act as the primary liaison between Risk, Engineering, Data Science, Finance, Legal, and Sales.
• Own the product backlog and lead sprint planning with a focus on high-quality acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of product management experience specifically within risk, fraud, or financial decisioning.
• Deep domain knowledge of ACH or digital payments mechanics, including dispute windows and settlement timing.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists to shape AI/ML feature sets and define model thresholds.
• Technical proficiency in SQL and the ability to lead technical design discussions.
• Ability to communicate effectively across levels, from fraud escalation briefs to executive strategy memos.
• Must be based in the USA to support a hybrid work arrangement in San Francisco.
