What you will do
- Define and publish a Product Design strategy within the first 90 days, then drive adoption across the company.
- Establish design principles, standards, and a clear point of view that differentiates the product in the market.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to improve platform engagement and weekly active users (WAUs).
- Own the quality bar for every customer-facing experience and translate product strategy into design execution.
- Lead, develop, and scale the Product Design team, including hiring and retaining top design talent.
- Integrate AI tools and workflows into the design practice to increase design velocity while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- 8+ years in product design, including 3+ years in a Head of Design, Design Director, or equivalent leadership role.
- Proven experience leading design at a high-growth SaaS company, ideally at a similar scale or trajectory.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling design teams with strong retention of top talent.
- Systems thinking that connects design decisions to business outcomes (retention, revenue).
- Deep ownership mindset for quality and outcomes, not just output.
- AI-forward approach: actively use AI in the design practice and drive adoption.
