TL;DR

Manager, Survey Research & Campaigns: Managing complex survey research and analytics projects for political polling, advocacy, brand lift studies, and predictive modeling with an accent on survey instrument design, fielding/weighting decisions, and stakeholder-ready reporting. Focus on troubleshooting research execution, presenting findings and strategic recommendations, and building client proposals while coordinating multiple projects and timelines.

Location: New York, New York (hybrid: work from home Monday and Friday; in hirify.global’s New York City office Tuesday through Thursday)

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 base (exclusive of discretionary annual cash bonus and equity compensation)

What you will do

  • Serve as project manager for complex survey research and analytics projects, keeping all aspects on track and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Craft research memos and PowerPoint presentations with clear communication and strategic recommendations to optimize campaigns
  • Present survey findings and other analyses to stakeholders including business executives, consultants, PACs, and political candidates
  • Conceptualize and construct smart survey instruments and focus group guides
  • Build and present new business proposals and pitch decks aligned to survey research products and client challenges
  • Oversee fielding of research projects, including reviewing partial data, assessing quotas, and partnering with data analysts on survey weighting decisions

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in a related role in market research/political polling, data science/analytics, or in-house research for a company, nonprofit, political committee, or advocacy organization
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client presentations
  • Experience managing survey/market research fielding, including quotas, reviewing survey programming, and troubleshooting
  • Experience delivering reports and slide decks/memos with strong data visualization
  • Familiarity with measurement and research designs such as max-diff, conjoint, difference-in-differences, and brand lift
  • Ability to mentor more junior employees and thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment juggling multiple projects

Nice to have

  • Experience constructing and/or presenting new business proposals
  • Experience developing and testing methodological improvements
  • Experience producing culturally competent materials for diverse audiences
  • Spanish language proficiency
