Engineering Intern (AI)

Location: Remote (USA)

Salary: $55 – $65 per hour

What you will do

• Own and ship a scoped project end-to-end, from initial design to tested code running in production.
• Improve core components such as the ASR pipeline, TTS latency, or developer SDKs.
• Create measurable, long-term improvements to the system that outlast the internship term.
• Integrate AI tools into the build process to prototype, test, and debug more efficiently.
• Present project outcomes and technical learnings to the engineering team.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA
• Proven track record of building tools, scripts, or automations independently.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and ability to learn new codebases quickly.
• Strong first-principles reasoning and debugging capabilities.
• Ability to communicate technical work clearly and handle feedback effectively.

Nice to have

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent self-study/open-source experience.
• Exposure to machine learning, distributed systems, or audio/speech processing.
• Previous internship experience or a history of shipping real-world projects.
