What you will do

• Shape Affirm's presence in market coverage, positioning the brand against legacy credit and new entrants.
• Own the financial narrative by translating dense numbers into clear stories in partnership with Investor Relations, Finance, and Capital Markets.
• Lead communications for critical milestones including earnings, funding rounds, and major partnerships.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with national business and financial reporters, producers, and podcasters.
• Counsel and prepare executives for high-stakes media interviews and speaking engagements.
• Ensure a consistent corporate voice across all business and financial communication channels.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in communications, ideally spanning high-growth and public companies.
• Established network of connections with national business and financial media.
• Deep fluency in public market dynamics, including earnings cycles, capital markets, and disclosure.
• Ability to analyze complex financials and credit metrics to create defensible narratives.
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to make complex financial topics compelling.
• Must be based in the United States.
