What you will do

• Lead and grow a team of engineers focused on flight control, guidance, and state estimation.
• Define the technical direction for the autopilot stack, including control theory (PID/LQR/MPC) and sensor fusion architecture.
• Collaborate with hardware, perception, and systems engineering teams to ensure end-to-end navigation performance.
• Own the technical roadmap and represent the domain to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Implement software engineering best practices, including C4 architecture and clean code principles.
• Drive the test and validation strategy from simulation and HIL testing to live trials.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience in the GNC (guidance, navigation, and control) domain.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of deploying robotics software into production environments.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of the GNC domain.
• Fluent English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience taking autonomous systems with GNSS-denied navigation from design to production.
• Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, or similar open-source autopilot stacks.
• Background in aerospace, robotics, or MINT programs.
• Prior experience scaling technical teams within a startup or fast-growing engineering organization.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD or STANAG-aligned development practices.
