Solution Architect – Personalization

TL;DR

Solution Architect – Personalization (Customer Data Platforms/CDP): Lead the architecture, design, and evolution of enterprise personalization and customer engagement solutions across digital and in-store channels with an accent on customer data platforms, personalization/recommendation engines, and journey orchestration. Focus on translating business journeys into technical architecture, guiding implementation teams, and maintaining enterprise governance through roadmaps, standards, and compliance.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Preferred) | Tempe, AZ | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

What you will do

• Translate customer journeys and business requirements into technical requirements, capability/value-stream maps, and architecture blueprints.
• Provide technical leadership to guide development and engineering teams through implementation.
• Assess and evolve the solution portfolio by identifying deficiencies, technical debt, and misalignment with business needs.
• Lead evaluation, design, maintenance, and evolution of personalization-related architectures (e.g., CDPs, personalization/recommendation engines, loyalty/discount/promo tools, communication/content/asset platforms).
• Develop enterprise roadmaps and governance deliverables (principles, guidelines, standards, reference models) to ensure assurance and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, system analysis, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines (solution/application/technical/infrastructure architecture, network management, middleware, database management, or cloud development).
• Experience implementing an enterprise customer data platform and journey orchestration tool (ideally Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Journey Optimizer).
• Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps.
• Ability to work with developers in an outsourced environment and to negotiate/resolve conflicts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to senior executives and technical audiences.
