Salary: $180,000 – $200,000

What you will do
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for CMS stakeholders regarding architecture and modernization.
- Translate mission needs into a forward-looking technical roadmap and secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Align security findings, architecture decisions, and shared tooling choices across multiple functions.
- Advise leadership on technology trends, architectural tradeoffs, and modernization opportunities.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical staff and executive, non-technical audiences.
- Support secure, scalable design practices and track emerging AI developments for practical application.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture or systems engineering.
- Demonstrated experience operating as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.
- Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments, with CMS experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud-based architecture, security-by-design, and DevSecOps.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Familiarity with innovation governance models and technology evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with interoperability standards and data exchange frameworks relevant to CMS systems.
