Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) – Federal Health

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for complex, multi-year VA programs using MS Project or equivalent tools.
• Coordinate schedule inputs from project managers, functional leads, and external partners to ensure alignment and accurate dependency tracking.
• Identify and resolve schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and critical path risks.
• Run regular schedule status reviews with VA stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
• Support integrated project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and reporting to track schedule adherence and performance.
• Generate and present schedule status reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership; incorporate Agile/Waterfall/hybrid delivery methods as applicable.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a scheduler or project controls analyst on federal programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles including PMBOK, EVM, and the critical path method.
• Ability to obtain a Level 3 Public Trust.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have

• PMP or PMI-SP certification.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
• Familiarity with VA-specific tools such as PMAS, Jira, or ServiceNow.
• Prior experience working with system integrators or federal health contractors.
