Integrated Master Scheduler (IMS) – Federal Health

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule for complex, multi-year Department of Veterans Affairs programs using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools.
• Coordinate schedule inputs from project managers, functional leads, and external partners, including dependency tracking and alignment across workstreams.
• Identify and resolve schedule conflicts, resource constraints, and critical path risks.
• Conduct schedule status reviews with VA stakeholders and internal delivery teams.
• Support integrated project planning, Earned Value Management, and performance reporting.
• Generate and present schedule reports, dashboards, and recommendations to senior leadership while incorporating Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods and federal delivery frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a scheduler or project controls analyst on federal programs.
• Ability to obtain a Level 3 Public Trust.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, including PMBOK, Earned Value Management, and the critical path method.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• PMP or PMI-SP certification.
• Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments.
• Familiarity with VA-specific tools such as PMAS, Jira, or ServiceNow.
• Prior experience working with system integrators or federal health contractors.
