Project Manager (Data Projects)

Location: Remote, Virginia, United States; must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust.

Salary: $120,000–$125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent data analytics and business intelligence workstreams for federal customers.
• Initiate projects and define objectives, scope, stakeholders, requirements, delivery approaches, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Serve as the primary contact for assigned workstreams and coordinate federal stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and delivery teams.
• Conduct business analysis, including stakeholder interviews, requirements elicitation, process analysis, user-story development, acceptance-criteria definition, and business-needs documentation.
• Create and maintain project plans, schedules, backlogs, roadmaps, meeting minutes, risk and issue registers, change requests, and project documentation.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, manage Jira backlogs, support governance activities including Privacy Threshold Agreements, and prepare project communications.

Requirements

• US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust are required.
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and PMP certification are required.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT, software development, data analytics, or business-transformation projects.
• Experience simultaneously managing multiple workstreams or projects from initiation through implementation.
• Experience performing requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, process analysis, user-story development, and acceptance-criteria definition.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Applied experience with Agile delivery practices and experience using Jira and Confluence in a project-delivery environment.
• Experience supporting federal agencies; DHS experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Agile certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe SSM, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with data and analytics concepts, including data pipelines, data visualization, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with financial analysis and/or budget tracking.
