BI / Dashboard Developer - Federal Health

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Develop reports providing real-time visibility into project performance, operational metrics, financial data, and implementation progress.
• Work with business stakeholders, Data Architects, Data Analysts, Business Analysts, and technical teams to define reporting requirements, KPIs, and dashboard functionality.
• Create SQL queries, data models, and reporting datasets; validate data sources, business rules, and reporting calculations.
• Optimize dashboard performance and usability, implement reporting standards, and create technical documentation, user guides, and reporting specifications.
• Support executive briefings with visual reporting products and recommend improvements to reporting automation, data visualization, and business intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Five years of experience developing business intelligence dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization platforms.
• Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.
• Experience developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and operational reporting solutions.
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise reporting best practices.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure, AWS, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or federal program management.
