What you will do
- Lead a team of DREs responsible for PSDS sub-component content across vehicle programs.
- Drive technical and execution leadership for specialty cables, dress covers, grommets, channels, T-harnesses, clips, ring terminals, coverings, and future PSDS sub-components.
- Align component direction across program needs, requirements, supplier execution, and release timing.
- Manage cost, quality, mass, timing, and complexity for assigned PSDS sub-components, including content and program changes.
- Lead component design, development, integration, and electrical release activities; interface with Technical Specialists to ensure design direction matches requirements.
- Support prototype/pre-production builds, assembly plant launch, remediation, and plan test/development activities as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, or Physics.
- 5+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Experience in wire harnessing.
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms.
- High level analytical ability for unusual and complex problems.
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis and successfully complete a Motor Vehicle Report review.
