Technical Specialist (Cylinder Blocks)

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Warren, Michigan. This role is hybrid and requires reporting to the office at least 3 times a week.

What you will do

• Lead subsystem benchmarking efforts and support Competitive Benchmarking Design Reviews.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including Best Practices, SOR, and DFMEA templates.
• Assess supplier technical capabilities and maintain the Technically Approved Supplier List.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams including Purchasing, Development, and Validation engineers.
• Drive warranty reduction and quality improvement processes through technical expertise.
• Lead and coach DFSS projects to ensure high-quality engineering execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• 7+ years of engineering experience in propulsion systems design.
• Expertise in casting, machining, and honing processes.
• DFSS Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Warren, Michigan.
