Applications Software Support Engineer (Application Support): Investigating and resolving incidents in business-critical applications with an accent on customer collaboration, incident management, and service quality. Focus on troubleshooting complex software issues, coordinating with development teams, and maintaining application performance through continuous improvements and out-of-hours support.
Location: Preston, United Kingdom; 5 days onsite initially, reducing to a minimum of 3 days onsite

What you will do
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents.
- Work with customers, support teams, and developers to identify and fix issues.
- Maintain critical software applications.
- Contribute to service improvements and application support initiatives.
- Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota.
Requirements
- Right to work in the United Kingdom and eligibility to meet applicable UK Government and contractual personnel security and residency requirements.
- At least 4 years of experience in application support, software support, or a similar technical role.
- Strong incident management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies and support practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to have
- Relevant certifications or advanced qualifications.
- Experience in secure or highly regulated environments.
