TL;DR

Global Category Manager - Electrical Components (Procurement/Category Management): Manage Electrical Component categories for hirify.global’s Traction division by defining sourcing strategy, securing suppliers, negotiating pricing and contractual conditions, and driving cost reduction initiatives. Focus on building a capable supplier base, selecting and evaluating suppliers, and solving complex cross-functional stakeholder and cost-driver challenges across international locations.

What you will do

  • Plan and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business strategy and future supply needs.
  • Identify, investigate, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability in collaboration with Engineering, R&D, and Supplier Quality Management.
  • Identify cost reduction/avoidance opportunities and work with Engineering and/or R&D to (re-)evaluate design and cost drivers.
  • Negotiate pricing and sourcing frame agreements with key suppliers and periodically renew price lists.
  • Manage supplier relationships through regular performance reviews and follow-ups on action items with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Procurement.
  • Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and category strategy development.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken); German is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills for cross-functional and international teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
