TL;DR
Crypto Risk Senior Specialist (Fintech): Identifying and mitigating risks across crypto products and operations with an accent on risk and control self-assessments (RCSAs) and key risk indicators (KRIs). Location: Hybrid: Must be based in New York, NY; Menlo Park, CA; Westlake, TX or Denver, CO (in-person attendance 3+ days/week)
Salary: $106,000 – $160,000 USD (base pay varies by location)

What you will do
- Perform initial and ongoing Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) across operational processes and recommend enhancements.
- Assess crypto products, features, and business changes for risk impact and provide mitigation strategies.
- Prepare risk reporting and analysis for governance forums and committee materials.
- Develop and refine key risk indicators (KRIs) as products and risk exposures evolve.
- Manage the issue management lifecycle from identification and prioritization through remediation and closure.
- Collaborate with crypto operations, compliance, engineering, and enterprise risk teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in risk management, financial services, or crypto/fintech operations.
- Deep understanding of risk management policies and standard methodologies.
- Proven experience developing KRIs and performing Risk Control Self-Assessments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Experience with GRC tools (e.g., LogicGate) and risk data management systems.
- Must be based in or able to work from one of the designated US offices at least 3 days per week.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in the cryptocurrency industry, including custody and blockchain fundamentals.
- Knowledge of US and International regulatory frameworks.
- Analytical background with knowledge of SQL, Python, or BI tools.
