What you will do

• Manage the delivery of engineering outcomes to ensure operational availability of Combat Systems.
• Lead a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technical officers, and logistics resources.
• Provide sustainment support including managing system help desks and coordinating planned and unplanned maintenance.
• Manage technical investigations and develop solutions for RAN Combat System requirements.
• Implement and develop systems, policies, and frameworks to ensure performance and compliance.
• Manage available budgets and deliver financial outcomes according to agreed performance measures.

Requirements

• Must be an Australian citizen.
• Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in engineering, with significant expertise in military systems or defence technologies.
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role of engineering teams.
• Knowledge of Combat Management Systems, weapons, fire control systems, EMI/EMC analysis, and RADHAZ.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as Engineers Australia CPEng or INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP.
• Familiarity with the RAN Technical Support Network.
• Experience in the application of Asset Management practices.
