Sustainment Engineering Manager (Combat Systems)

Location: Rockingham, Australia. Hybrid work from home and office and a 9-day fortnight may be considered.

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary Combat Systems Support team and provide technical leadership and stakeholder advice.
• Deliver engineering sustainment outcomes that maintain Combat System availability and meet contracted and operational requirements.
• Manage maintenance, technical investigations, engineering change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop processes, policies, and frameworks that improve team performance, compliance, and service delivery.
• Oversee budgets, financial performance, reporting, and value-for-money lifecycle support outcomes.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive engineering experience and leadership of technical teams in defence, military systems, or complex technology environments.
• Strong knowledge of Combat Management Systems, weapons and fire control systems, EMI/EMC, RADHAZ, and emission security principles.
• Experience in engineering program or project management, asset management, and complex sustainment environments.
• Ability to attain Engineering Level 3 SQEP Delegation and engage effectively with the RAN Technical Support Network.
• Australian citizenship and an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level, or the ability to obtain one, are required.
