What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery for one or more agile engineering teams, ensuring high-quality software output aligned with business KPIs.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap, translating business goals into prioritized, executable plans.
• Design and enforce engineering best practices, including coding standards, testing strategies, and observability.
• Lead the full people management lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Coach and develop engineers at all levels, fostering the next generation of technical leaders.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and peer leaders to deliver complex, multi-team initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in Berlin and able to work from the office at least 3 days per week.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• 1+ years of experience leading engineering teams in the travel industry focused on supplier integrations (GDS, NDC, etc.).
• Strong technical fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, and backend architecture.
• Demonstrated experience owning the full people management lifecycle and developing engineering talent.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
