TL;DR
Software Support Analyst: Supporting internally developed systems and managing escalated technical issues with an accent on SQL database maintenance, system documentation, and disaster recovery planning. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Liverpool, UK
Salary: up to £32,000

What you will do
- Manage and triage escalated support requests from business teams via the ticketing system.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server stored procedures and reporting processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
- Create and maintain system documentation, including application dependencies for Disaster Recovery plans.
- Perform backups and recoveries to support operational resilience.
- Ensure all changes adhere to Change Management processes and security best practices.
Requirements
- Must have the right to work in the UK with at least one year remaining on a visa if applicable (no sponsorship provided).
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with T-SQL, SSIS, and SSMS.
- Understanding of ITIL service management methodology.
- Experience analyzing logs using monitoring tools like Grafana, Loki, or Datadog.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in an IT support role.
- Familiarity with the insurance or legal industry software toolsets.
- Exposure to Windows services and server environments.
