TL;DR

Project Accountant (SAP/Excel): Manage global order intake registration and run customer project accounting in SAP with an accent on lifecycle monitoring, revenue and cost recognition after final acceptance, and accurate month-end closing. Focus on establishing efficient processes, coordinating cross-functional execution, and supporting system migrations and rollout of new tools.

Location: Sant Joan Despí (BCN), Spain; option for remote work (3 days per week).

What you will do

  • Oversee global order intake registration: receive, verify, and register customer orders; resolve issues with unregistered orders; coordinate monthly with local teams.
  • Create, configure, and maintain customer projects and service contracts in SAP; monitor projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and operational processes.
  • Lead revenue and cost recognition for customer projects after final acceptance; support local teams during month-end closing.
  • Coordinate and monitor resource-related billing activities; manage Excel reporting spreadsheets for daily operations.
  • Support system migrations and rollout of new processes and tools; handle ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • University degree in business administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of finance experience in a multinational company, preferably in accounting or controlling.
  • SAP knowledge (CPQ is a plus) and strong Excel proficiency.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, detail-oriented working approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and work under high-pressure situations while communicating effectively with stakeholders.
