What you will do

• Define and own the strategic engineering direction and holistic roadmap for data capabilities.
• Lead and mentor a team of 10-15 engineers, managing their professional lifecycle, recruitment, and career growth.
• Establish rigorous SDLC protocols, "Definition of Done" frameworks, and quality metrics to minimize technical debt.
• Partner with Product Managers to optimize squad sizing and resource distribution based on domain roadmaps.
• Govern system integrity through secure API designs, OAuth authentication, and authenticated server-side validations.
• Collaborate with external partners to augment internal capabilities and integrate emerging industry trends.

Requirements

• Extensive experience managing engineering cohorts and orchestrating resource distribution across multiple delivery squads.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise platforms including Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and Medallion or Kimball modelling frameworks.
• Proven track record of building CI/CD pipelines, using Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code, and executing data validation via dbt.
• Strong expertise in secure API development and authentication protocols (OAuth).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to translate technical roadmaps into business outcomes.
