Project Engineering Manager - ATM

Location: Melbourne, Australia. Hybrid work from home and office and a 9-day fortnight may be considered. The role requires Australian Defence Security Clearance, preferably at baseline level, or the ability to obtain one.

What you will do

• Lead engineering delivery for Air Traffic Management projects through tender, planning, and implementation phases.
• Develop and maintain project Systems Engineering Management Plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering resources within project budget and schedule constraints.
• Manage technical scope, issues, risks, requirements, and configuration baselines.
• Engage with customers, project managers, and program engineering leadership to deliver operationally effective solutions.
• Promote continuous improvement and compliance with engineering, safety, quality, and organisational policies.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or computer science with suitable recent experience.
• Significant systems engineering experience on Air Traffic Management projects, including design, implementation, and support of ATM systems.
• Proficient knowledge of ATM systems and their integration.
• Experience addressing operational safety, Integrated Logistics Support, human factors, supportability, and whole-of-capability systems issues.
• Knowledge of security practices under the Australian Government Information Security Manual and experience managing technical issues within cost, time, and quality constraints.
• Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one is required; eligibility for chartered engineering status and state engineering registration in Queensland or Victoria is expected.
